Your parish council is the local authority that represents the people of the parish by making decisions on their behalf whilst ensuring the wellbeing of the local community is a priority. We are the level of government closest to the community, with the district authority above us in the hierarchy. As a result, we are the first line of contact for the local community when any concerns or ideas arise. Therefore, we are an integral part of the parish, and making the changes that you want to see.
Proudly representing the local community
Delivering services to meet local needs
Serving to improve quality of life in the parish
That depends on what you are doing?
Would you like the Parish Council to reduce crime, speeding and antisocial behaviour? Also get the roads repaired, and generally support improvements for the community?
If the answer is YES, without your input, nothing will significantly change.
HERE’S WHY. If these matters are not reported, they won’t appear in local government reports. Therefore, they won’t become a priority for funding or support. As far as local government is concerned, the problem doesn’t exist beyond hearsay.
As a Parish Council, we have limited powers. Therefore, a significant part of our role is to lobby local government for improvements and benefits for the community.
YOU NEED TO TELL US. To affect change at a government level, matters which are important to the residents of Pattingham need to be reported by the residents themselves. If it’s not on the Local Government radar, it’s likely nothing will change.
Please see the links on the useful links page where you can report matters which are important to you.
Once you have reported it, please direct message the parish council on facebook or email clerk@pattingham-pc.gov.uk with details of what you have reported.
Then we can follow up. If we don’t know, we can’t.
Change and improvements start with you – report it, get it on the local government radar and let us know
We can then get behind what is important to the community.
